The Conservatorium van Amsterdam and The School of House are proud to introduce the Amsterdam Electronic Music Academy, a two-year international programme for the electronic artist of the future.
Electronic music has evolved from a subcategory to one of the most popular music genres in the world. The DJ/producer has developed into the pop star of the 21st century and the Netherlands has put itself on the map as one of the leading suppliers of DJs and electronic artists. ‘Amsterdam is one of the leading cities worldwide in the field of dance,’ says Duncan Stutterheim, founder of ID&T, who brought together the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and The School of House. ‘There are so many great artists and organizations here. But a study programe at this level was still lacking. At AEMA a wealth of knowledge and experience can be passed on to upcoming talents.’
