22 Sep RELEASE | Ectomorph is part of the CTEMF 2020 compilation
Cape Town Electronic Music Festival has released CTEMF 2020: Friends & Frequencies, a 137-track compilation, via Bandcamp.
“With the ninth edition of the South African festival cancelled due to the global pandemic, organisers opted to put together an extensive collection of tracks that reflect the weekender’s various stages in lieu of the event, with revenue going towards artists and the affected industry supply chain. Four Tet, Egyptian Lover, The Hacker, Ectomorph, Aux 88, and Henrik Schwarz are among the international names contributing music, while Black Coffee, Culoe De Song, and Shimza represent the South African scene.
When purchased as a full album, the package also comes with 15 live performance videos, an “insider’s guide” to some of Cape Town’s key cultural institutions, and a collection of digital artworks including something from Abdul Qadim Haqq, the legendary Detroit artist who put visuals to the likes of Drexciya, Underground Resistance and Planet E.” – Resident Advisor
