Riva Starr and Mark Broom join forces under the new collaborative moniker, Star B.

Starr and Broom are both respected electronic music DJs, prolific producers and serial collaborators; as Star B, this dynamic duo formulates a hybrid of house and techno genres. They draw on influences from the past, reimagining infectious pumping disco and funk elements with expressive vocals as their distinctive signature sound.

Star B’s musical journey began after Broom did a solo release on Starr’s Snatch! Records. In a short space of time, the established pair recognised their mutual appreciation for funk-driven club tracks.

What followed was their triumphant debut EP ‘Gotta Have You’ released in September 2019, a ‘peak time’ dance floor igniter, widely supported by fellow heavyweight DJs such as Carl Cox, The Martinez Brothers, Pan-Pot, The Blessed Madonna and Hot Since 82 amongst others. ‘Gotta Have You’ remixes will follow in April 2020, from the likes of Detroit’s DJ Bone and deep house DJ, Cinthie.

The much anticipated second single from the duo dropped in November 2021; ‘Fire’ is another energetic club-ready release that has instantly gained strong support from their DJ peers across the board and features consistently in the Beatport top 10 house charts.

Remixes of ‘Fire’ from Ron Bacardi, the disco house alias of Ben Sims, and Rekids new recruit Confidential Recipe, is due for release later in 2022.
